The Venus Mining Authority (VMA) grants exploration licenses for the purpose of searching for valuable minerals and resources on the surface and subsurface of Venus. This guide outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, and key requirements for obtaining an exploration license.

2. Eligibility:

To be eligible for an exploration license, an applicant must be:

  • A legally registered company or organization.

  • Possess the financial and technical capability to conduct safe and responsible exploration activities on Venus.

3. Application Process:

Exploration license applications must be submitted electronically to the VMA at https://www.venusmining.space. The application process involves the following steps:

  • Submitting the completed application package along with the necessary fees.

4. Exploration License Validity and Renewal:

Exploration licenses are valid for a period of three (3) Venusian years (equivalent to approximately 1.9 Earth years). Applications for renewal may be submitted before the expiry date, subject to:

  • Demonstration of continued financial and technical capability.

  • Fulfillment of all reporting and regulatory requirements during the initial license period.

  • Payment of applicable renewal fees.
