
Prospecting License
1. Introduction:
The Venus Mining Authority (VMA) grants prospecting licenses for the purpose of conducting low-impact surface exploration activities on Venus to assess the potential existence of valuable minerals and resources. This guide outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, and key requirements for obtaining a prospecting license.
2. Eligibility:
To be eligible for a prospecting license, an applicant must be:
A legally registered company, organization, or individual.
Possess the financial and technical capability to conduct low-impact surface exploration activities on Venus.
Demonstrate a commitment to environmental protection and adherence to the Venus Mining Act and its regulations.
3. Application Process:
Prospecting license applications must be submitted electronically to the VMA at applications@venusmining.space. The application process involves the following steps:
Reviewing this guide and relevant regulations.
Completing the required application forms (listed below).
Submitting the completed application package along with the necessary fees.
4. Prospecting License Validity and Renewal:
Prospecting licenses are valid for a period of one (1) Venusian year (equivalent to approximately 0.65 Earth years) and are not renewable.
5. Key Requirements:
Exploration Plan: The application must include a detailed exploration plan outlining the proposed activities, target areas, methodologies, and timeline.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): A simplified EIA is required, based on the low-impact nature of prospecting activities, detailing potential environmental impacts and proposed mitigation strategies.
Safety and Procedures: The applicant must demonstrate basic safety procedures and protocols necessary for conducting low-impact surface exploration activities. This includes emergency response plans, personnel training, and equipment specifications.
Financial Capability: The applicant must provide evidence of sufficient financial resources to support the proposed prospecting activities and fulfill all license obligations.

Form 502: Prospecting Plan Summary (Brief overview of proposed activities, target areas, and methodologies)
Form 503: Simplified Environmental Impact Assessment (Analysis of potential environmental impacts and mitigation strategies, scaled to the low-impact nature of prospecting)
Form 504: Basic Safety and Procedures Outline (Outline of safety protocols, emergency response plans, and personnel training)
Form 505: Financial Capability Statement (Evidence of resources to support prospecting activities and fulfill license obligations)
